Goetz Collection
Isaac Julien Fantôme Créole 24. - 28. 04. 2013

The Goetz Collection takes part in a retrospective with works of the British artist Isaac Julien, which is being presented in the context of KINO DER KUNST in several Munich institutions. Parallel to the current exhibition of works by Roni Horn the Goetz Collection shows in BASE 103 from 24. - 28. 04. 2013 the 4-channel video installation Fantôme Créole, 2005, from its inventory. As the title denotes, the work approaches the concept of the Creole, by contrasting intriguing landscape images of the arctic north and the African desert. The room-filling installation captures the viewer and invites him to appreciate the images intuitively, not only with mere intellectual power.
